And I one thing, you should buy helmet at your own size, kc madami basta ma suot lang yun pala maluwag, karamihan kc mga large. kelangan hind umi ikot yung helmet sa ulo mo pag suot mo at tumatakbo motor mo.

Helmet

Hi Asylum

I think it would be better to use a US-DOT (Dept. of Transportation) CERTIFIED full face road helmet because:

1. Integrated na ang visor and helmet no need for separate helmet and goggles. Easier to put on and bring around.

2. Road helmet is sealed when the visor is fully closed. The motox helmet still leaves chance for road debris and insects to fly into your helmet. Given the pollution here you will be cleaner with the full face. It also keeps the rain out.

3. Motox helmet is not really favorable at higher speeds. The sleeker road helmet has less drag therefore less strain on your neck.

4. Full face is always recommended. knocked my front teeth loose on a non full face helmet years ago when I kissed the cement road. Now I always use full face.

5. Make sure its certified. Lots of cheap helmet manufacturers making false claims. Too bad our govt does nothing to protect the public about these unscrupulous businessmen. There was a Taiwan helmet claiming to be DOT certified but when it fell off the delivery van in shipping basag agad. What if you are wearing this helmet and a rock flies off a trucks tire and hits your helmet?

HTH - nga pala LB ka...uplb grad ako...just don't ask when...tagal na he he.

I've been reading a lot of posts on helmets mentioning DOT certification. DOT refers here to the USA Dept of Transportation. Here, the DOTC I think does not evaluate and certifies helmets. Many of the helmets sold here are from Asia and the US DOT did not certify or maybe, are still evaluating these. My helmet is Thailand certified. I guess that's ok. You're really on your own when evaluating a helmet for purchase. Tsk! tsk!

Here's a follow up on helmet certification. I researched on ISO Certification, and so far, there's none for motocycle helmets. I just wonder why? For motorcycle certifications, here's the link: http://www.iso.org/iso/en/CatalogueL...S3=&scopelist=

helmets?
