QC Councilor Bans Backriders

people,

Just in, Councilor Inton is banning backriders. A fine of P1,000 will be imposed if your caught with a backrider. The reason for this is the rising crime in the city and apparently these criminals are riding in tandem.

Your comments pls.....

IMO, another "quick draw" by our politicians so as to show their constituents that they are "thinking".

THINK AGAIN MR. COUNCILOR, THIS TIME THINK HARDER!!!

Maybe the smart councilor should also ban and apprehend all vehicles with two or more passengers..criminal elements also ride this way... Oh i forgot, might as well also ban and apprehend all vehicles that are tinted...

Just my 2-cents, (he can keep the freakin' change)

laws like this one reasons why people wants to go out.. stupid thinking! pretty lame thinking..

ang mga kriminal, nde yan titigil sa paggawa ng crime unless they are the ones who are really stopped.. sila yung dpat hulihin and pigilin..

i foresee in the comiung days that cops and law enforcers would tighten the noose on responsible riders with backride, while very loose on the real purpose of the campaign - to catch the criminals...

Organize for the battle ahead!

Sirs, if we do nothing now, we will be sending a different message to government. That we are not ready and courageous enough to fight for what is ours!

It is time to organize and mobilize to oppose this stupidity!

As my father says, the silence of a few good men is all it takes for evil to triumph.

Brothers, let us take back what is ours.

I agree with sir mayor_bandido.

If he want's to solve this kind of problem they should enforce those men in uniforms and not to apprehend motorist w/ backrides. I don't see the point of mr. councilor, mas lalo lang tataas ang crimes sa QC if he insist his STUPID idea. Mr. Councilor, try to think another project that is beneficial for the city not a burden to your constituents. We also have our rights as motorist and besides we TAXPAYERS paid your service so better think hard. :W

I have said it many times and most people think I am exagerating. If we don't stand up and fight for our rights on the tollways and the underpasses, in the villages and towns then we will eventually be classed along with bicycles and pedestrians, restricted to riding only in side streets.

We are stronger and more influential than we have ever been before. We have more friends and enlightened government officials than ever before. The Bicol Jamboree proved what can be achieved if we just stick together.

With this in mind it is only necessary that when we (MAP) talk to government officials it is with the support of thousands of riders who will turn out in force if necessary. The jeepney and tricycle riders get what they want and are even allowed to ignore the laws on lights, loading, etc because they stick together.

We can do the same to fight for what it rightfully and legally ours.

Show Force On MAP Meeting With Qc Official

Brothers, Just my suggestion. Daming Biker Groups and enthusiast na sumasama during rides para mas masaya, why not do this during Mr. Mirasol's MAP would be meeting with the QC officials para mapressure na iwithdraw ni Councilor Inton yung Ordinansa niya at magdalawang isip na rin ang iba pa na gumaya sa kalokohan ni Inton. Just like what Sir Frank suggested earlier.

Sir Zandy,

Terrific idea! Thousands of riders with the MAP at the meeting will send the message that WE WILL NOT BE COWED. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT UNJUST AND OPPRESSIVE LAWS.

The biggest error that the biking community can commit right now is to keep silent.

yes, riders must unite during this time. If he insist that crimes done by riders w/ backrides maybe he must pass also ordinance that pedestrians must not walk by two's, by three's by groups because most of the crimes (snatching, hold-up etc...) also done by this stupid people also just like his IDEA. Before banning of full face helmet in Marikina, now banning of riding w/ backrides in QC, what next STUPID idea, who's next STUPID councilor's. They don't deserve sitting in their position, they just wasted TAXPAYERS money to their STUPID IDEAS.
So riders let's help bikers world EXIST. Peace to all the riders. Ride safely.

regarding backrides

as i understand sa news last night is that they will apprehend motorcycle with 2 or more backrides, that means 3 persons ang sakay coz as you analysed it (according sa news) 2 or "more backrides". noon pa naman bawal na ang more than two persons sa isang motor, so overloading talaga ang violation non?! but then that was just how i understand the news last night pero nga kung ang ibig sabihin ng ordinance na yon e plainly apprehend motorcycle with 2 people on board hehehe.. well, MALI nga yon!

:punk: :punk: hehehheeee.... (don't take it personally mga igan,... just expressing my freedom, hahahaha...)

There are other things that the councillors of QC should look into and not just banninng backriders and making our lives bitter. I don't think this councilor is capable of making good decisions. If they are really serious in stopping criminals, they just have to implement the existing laws and ordinances. Implementation is the very problem of this country.
